The aim of this thesis is to develop a crisis-aware early support model to support supervisors and HR experts. The purpose of the model is to support those who have experienced an acute personal crisis and are returning to the workplace and to take into account the psychosocial load factors of this transition. Taking psychosocial load factors into account, the aim is to reduce stress factors at work and meet the needs of the employee in relation to work ability. The model is theoretically based on crisis reactions characteristic of an acute crisis and on aspects of psychosocial burden. Its creation was influenced by the Thesis worker's professional training and long work experience in crisis work. The thesis aims to meet the needs of a sustainable working life as one of its areas. The thesis is a research-based development work. The focus of the development work was to develop the model with the help of material collected from supervisors. The data were collected by qualitative methods using a survey and interviews. Every interviewee was sent a video related to crisis-aware early support, discussion support and focus material for evaluation. According to the results, organizations have ways to support a person's ability to work, but there are no actual models or instructions focused on a sudden crisis. The existing methods are related to employee-oriented methods and general guidelines related to work ability and occupational health. The respondents found the model usable in their own organization and in their own work role. Even if the supervisor had their own experience and expertise on the subject, the model was seen to remind of the subject and support professionalism. The model was seen as part of the supervisor's toolkit, orientation package or as a set of occupational health instructions in the organization. As a conclusion, it can be said that the model is necessary and useful support for supervisors. In the future, it will be important to get experiential information about the use of the model from the point of view of both supervisors and employees, and develop the model to meet the needs of a sustainable working life even better....
